Maryland School Choice Fair

THE SCHOOL CHOICE FAIR IS A FORUM FOR FAMILIES TO LEARN ABOUT SCHOOL CHOICE with more than 40 schools including public schools, public charter schools, specialty schools, faith schools, micro schools, on line schools, boarding schools and home schooling. The Fair will also feature representatives from more than 20 summer programs and activities and a HBCU expo.  For entertainment, the Fair will showcase the National School Choice Week Dance, DC Retro Jumpers (Double-Dutch), facepainting, a raffle, as well as a children’s book give-away and an "old school" CD & LP record give-away. Complimentary Chair Massages will be offered by Columbia Chiropractic Center.

The Maryland School Choice Fair will feature Higher Learning: A Taste of the American HBCU tradition. With alumni admissions tables from more than 20 HBCUs, a Step-And-Scroll Drumline and an HBCU academic demonstration featuring the only HBCU platform showcasing the academic offerings of HBCUs; this event is an HBCU extravaganza.

National School Choice Week

National School Choice Week (NSCW) informs, inspires, and empowers parents to discover the K-12 education options available for their children, while generating widespread public awareness of the importance of opportunity in K-12 education.
