Video Game Institute

BSF launched the Videogame Institute (VGI) in January 2016 which has served over 125 students in independent, public and charter schools. VGI teaches students coding. We do this by teaching three basic parts of an object-oriented programming language, Python.  VGI teaches Python basics, then we move to the core of artificial intelligence, viz., loops and machine decision-making; and finally, the core of functional and object-oriented programming, functions and classes. Along the road, we teach debugging techniques, and finally, we get to the fun stuff: a simple video game.
