"So Many Schools, So Little Time" – BSF
Annual School Fair
Since
1972, the Black Student Fund has hosted an annual school fair, where
future Black scholars and their families can:
-
Learn about Washington, DC area independent schools
-
Meet and obtain information from independent school administrators
-
Obtain a wealth of general information about the BSF and our programs
-
Find out about the independent school admissions process
-
Learn about placement examinations and financial grants
If
you cannot attend the School Fair, the BSF also holds two informational
meetings throughout the academic year to give scholars and families
an additional opportunity to learn about the BSF, BSF partner schools,
the admissions process and financial aid procedures.

Let’s
Celebrate: Reception for Graduating Seniors
Each year, the BSF hosts a reception for its graduating seniors
to recognize and celebrate their achievements. At the reception,
the scholars and their families are given an opportunity to meet
with BSF Board members as well as BSF corporate and foundation sponsors.
It is a wonderful opportunity for the scholars to begin fostering
their professional network and for the BSF to receive candid feedback
about the various BSF programs and services.
